Bald Buck's Smoked Queso

Your City: What would my life be like if I had a vagina? 🤔 This week, I asked myself that question.

Here is why.

Last year my granddaughter had her car detailed. When her car was ready, the company sent her this message. See below:

I felt this message was highly unprofessional because:

  • They typed the message by hand instead of using an automated, consistent system.
  • My granddaughter’s first name isn’t “Gorgeous.”
  • She went there for a service, not to be flirted with. This is a car wash, not a bar.

I told my granddaughter to choose another car wash next time. She disagreed. She admitted the guy’s message was inappropriate. But the car wash is close to the house and affordable.

I understood her point. So I said next time she gets her car detailed, I’m going with her.

This week, she needed her car cleaned again. So, I went with her to drop it off. Everything seemed normal, except for the message she received this time. See below:

It’s surprising what women have to deal with. Things I’d never even have to consider.

Even small things like being hit on while running errands.

I didn’t really think about this until I had a daughter and granddaughter.

Well, anyway, let me tell you how this story ends.

I took screenshots of both texts my granddaughter received from that car wash, posted them on Google Reviews, and shared my opinion with the world.

My granddaughter did not appreciate that, but my wife and I sure had one hell of a laugh. 🤣

Enjoy your Sunday!

Buck’s Smoked Queso In Your City

Your City: Buck’s Smoked Queso is the ultimate crowd-pleasing dip with smoky, creamy cheese goodness.

What Most People Don’t Know About Making Smoked Queso

  • Use Velveeta for Smoothness: Velveeta melts better than other cheeses, giving smoked queso the perfect creamy texture.
  • Creamy Soup Trick: Adding a cream-based soup, like cream of jalapeño, helps keep queso from getting too thick and enhances flavor.
  • Pick the Right Wood: Strong-flavored wood like oak, mesquite, or hickory gives your queso an unbeatable smoky taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 (2 lb) block Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 16 oz smoked gouda cheese, cubed
  • 2 lbs hot breakfast sausage (or substitute with venison or chorizo)
  • 2 cans Rotel tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
  • 1 can cream of jalapeño soup (can substitute cream of mushroom, chicken, or poblano)
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Bald Buck Seasoning

Equipment

  • Cast iron skillet, Dutch oven or foil pan
  • Smoker set to 350°F
  • Wood chips (oak, mesquite, or hickory)

Easy Steps

  • Heat Smoker: Preheat smoker to 350°F with your chosen wood chips.
  • Brown Sausage: Cook sausage in skillet until browned. Drain excess grease.
  • Combine Ingredients: In the skillet with sausage, add Velveeta, smoked gouda, Rotel, soup, and Bald Buck Seasoning.
  • Smoke the Queso: Place skillet uncovered in smoker for 45 minutes. Stir every 10–15 minutes until melted and smooth.
  • Add Cilantro: Stir in most of the cilantro 5 minutes before removing from smoker.
  • Serve Hot: Remove from smoker, garnish with remaining cilantro, and serve warm with tortilla chips.

Enjoy Your Delicious, Smoky Queso Dip!
